現任國立清華大學永續學院教授，學門領域為生命科學及農學。研究與教學專長涵蓋生態系統重建、 生態永續農業、碳匯與碳信用、環境與人體健康、大地資源回收與精煉，以及食品安全體系等。

傑出表現

  • 共發表 110 篇國際期刊論文，自 2013 年起擔任 Food Science and Nutrition 總主編，並參與多本學術專書編撰（含 6 篇專章）。
  • 所著《Commercially Sterile Packaged Foods》被美國 FDA 採用為官方內部及國際培訓教材，2021 年由台灣食品技師協會翻譯出版。
  • 連續 10 年（2003-2012）主持美國國會撥款「菸草作為非吸菸用途」研究，成果獲三項專利並成功技轉。
  • 2015~2016 年兩度榮獲美國白宮「銀質服務勳章」，2017 年獲聯合國 HHO 「食品安全傑出研究獎」，同年獲選世界食品保存中心院士及 IUFoST 大使。
  • 協助奈及利亞、莫三比克、緬甸、薩爾瓦多、柬埔寨、厄瓜多等國取得世界銀行及 USAID 食安教育與生態修復資金。
  • 主持 2013 年聯合國 Global Forum on Food, Nutrition & Health，並於 2017 年「Healthy Cities」圓桌會議發表總結。
  • 多次國際會議受邀 Keynote Speaker，主講 NI (Naturalistic Intelligence) vs. AI。
